À partir du poème « babel revisited », qui dialogue avec les deux modèles que sont Luís de Camões (poète du XVIème s.) et Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935), nous verrons comment Vasco Graça Moura intègre son travail du traducteur au cœur du tissu poétique : rythme, plus que simple transposition d’une langue à l’autre, cohabitation choisie et voulue avec l’étranger, mais aussi voix d’un je poétique qui raconte le monde et les muses qui l’habitent, le processus de la création poétique transforme Babel en un vaste territoire, lieu de tous les dédoublements. A prolific poet and translator, as well as novelist and essayist, Portuguese author Vasco Graça Moura (1942-2014) has composed a demanding body of work that never ceases to rethink itself in its relationship with the world, authors, the arts, the languages and the reader.
