Pareilles errances se rencontrent rarement dans la littérature française contemporaine et elles tiennent une grande part dans la singularité de cette autrice. À partir d’un corpus de huit romans, cet article cherche à décrire les trajectoires que suivent ces personnages puis à montrer que ces cheminements complexes, déterminés par un ensemble de signes, représentent le roman en train d’être inventé comme une suite de ruptures avec les conventions, et qu’ils sont à l’origine du fin magnétisme de cette œuvre. This article examines the part of Anne Serre's work in which characters take to the road and set off to wander through the countryside. Such wanderings rarely feature in contemporary French literature and they play a major role in the uniqueness of this author. Based on a corpus of eight novels, this article first seeks to describe the paths followed by these characters, and how they are determined by a set of signs.
